On the morning of the 20th, a production presentation of Netflix’s series “The Glory” was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun. Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, Lim Ji-yeon, Yeom Hye-ran, Park Sung-hoon, Jung Sung-il, Kim Eun-sook, and Ahn Gil-ho attended the event to talk about the work

Song Hye-kyo said, “The writer and director together were the first reasons, and when I read the script, it was the genre and character I wanted to try so much. I’ve always been hungry for these roles, but I think I’m finally doing it. I was so heartbroken while reading it and was spaced out for a while. How could you do this? I thought so, but he expressed it so perfectly that I thought a good work would come out if I finished,” he said, explaining the reason for his appearance.

Song Hye-kyo, her first genre play challenge, expressed satisfaction with the genre play challenge, saying, “I’ve done a lot of melodramas before, so I may be unfamiliar with what I’m showing this time, but it’s difficult but I enjoyed acting.”

Song Hye-kyo, who played “Mundong-dong,” who suffered damage from school violence and vowed revenge for her first genre challenge, said, “Mundong-dong is a person who has a lot of wounds and pain due to harsh school violence. No one at school, parents, or police helped. So why should I be the only one who wants to die? While thinking about it, they are also planning a desperate revenge with the hope that they will be punished,” he explained.

Song Hye-kyo said, “It was really difficult playing Dong-eun. It was very difficult because he played the role of a victim, but young Dong-eun was hurt and suffered defenselessly, and I wanted to show a stronger appearance than a poor appearance because I was a person who avenged the perpetrator for a long time. I’ve become much stronger than when I was young, and I wanted to show that I can punish you and have that much power. I talked a lot with the coach on the spot, and fortunately, we agreed a lot, so we proceeded well without any difficulties. He said how he tried to show a person who was taking revenge.

Song Hye-kyo, who narrates in the drama, said, “It felt very different from the narration of other dramas. I wanted to do it as Yeonjin says next to me. “I agreed with the director to make it sound like I’m whispering to Yeon-jin instead of reading the letter,” he explained the background of the narration in a different tone from the existing narration.

Song Hye-kyo said, “I have met Kim Eun-sook so far due to her previous work. I was so happy to leave this work to me and I was so honored to meet Moon Dong-eung. It is a work that I learned again that I am so happy to work with someone I love. It was his first work with coach Ahn Gil-ho, but he was a fan of his usual self. I really wanted to do it, but I did it faster than I thought. What I liked about doing it was that Mundong in this genre was difficult, so I had a lot of thoughts and I was worried about my thoughts, but he always helped me quickly. He came alone before all the staff and was getting ready. “I was so grateful that you always answered my questions without any hesitation,” he said, referring to what his work with the writer and director meant.

“The Glory,” which tells the story of desperate revenge and those who fall into the whirlpool, will be released on Netflix on December 30th, as a woman whose soul has been shattered by violence as a child has spent her whole life preparing for it
