Actor Bae Doo-na from “Next So-hee” said, “A criminal actor?” “I don’t want to avoid it on purpose.”
Actress Bae Doo-na expressed her thoughts on the perception of criminal actors.
On the 2nd, an interview for the movie “Next Sohee (directed by Jung Joo-ri)” was held at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
“Next Sohee,” which will be released on February 8, is an intense story about the incident that 18 high school student “Sohee” (Kim Si-eun) experiences while going to field practice and the detective “Yoojin” (Bae Doo-na), who was investigating it, faces in the same space and different time.
Actor Bae Doo-na acted as detective Eugene in “Next So-hee” who delves into the truth of the incident after So-hee’s death. He has previously been a detective in tvN’s “Stranger,” movies “Doheeya” and “Broker.” Naturally, the modifier ‘criminal actor’ came into being.
Actor Bae Doo-na said, “There are especially many detectives in recent films. Especially these days, hearing this question a lot makes me think that “Next So-hee” has driven a wedge. I’m trying to think positively,” he said.
“I think it’s a role where directors can say the right things when making a movie or tell what the director really wants to say. I think the detective has a lot of views on the case. “Even though I choose my work, it has become more as I do it,” he said. “I didn’t think I should avoid it because it was a detective role, and I didn’t think about differentiating it.”
He said, “Detective was just a job, and what kind of person was more important. He added, “The detective felt like the kind of person I like and the ideal type of person I want to be because it depends on the job and what kind of person I am.”
